Atheism is a belief,

It's not. It is a *lack* of belief.

It is my belief that every human being is born, wet-wired with a
knowledge of a creator. "Theology" is an attempt to explain this
creator in human terms. An atheist, if my belief is accurate, still
has that innate knowledge of God; however, cares naught for any of the
various warring theologies and would prefer to stay out of it. I have
met a few people in my life who I believe were truly atheists. (Most
people who claim atheism just have a hard-on for Jesus freaks.) Of
the atheists I have known, almost all of them were clergy.

The person who says: "I'm an atheist: is simply going through
spiritual puberty. They'll grow beyond it!

That's false. What they are born with, although it doesn't manifest itself
immediately, is an innate tendency to want to believe simple explanations. When
they get a little older and start to develop a sense of autonomous self
(typically about age three or four), they begin to wonder about origins, of
themselves, their parents and the world. They ask their parents, and they are
inclined to believe whatever their parents tell them. The easy explanation, and
the one their parents accepted when they were that age, is that "god" created
everyone and everything. Most people who are told that never stop believing it.
